Michael has 25 years of international chemical industry experience in leadership positions. He served in management roles at HCI and Brenntag in various countries in the Americas and Europe. In 2004, he became CEO and later Chairman of GTM Holdings. He helped transform the company from a medium-sized regional player to the largest independent services and solutions provider in its space in Latin America, and continues to support the company as a board director. Michael holds a BA in International Marketing from HU University in The Netherlands, an MBA from Bradford University in the United Kingdom and completed the Advanced Management Program at University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business.
Justin Buchanan is the Chief Technology Officer, leading the architecture and development of ChemVM’s software platforms. Justin has over 20 years of experience designing and implementing successful technology solutions. He was a senior architect at CSG where he led many data analytics and software solutions for industry leading clients in aerospace, agri-science, marketing, energy and more. Prior to CSG, Justin created the SaaS platform supporting a chemical management services company widely adopted by aerospace industry leaders such as Boeing and Lockheed Martin. Justin has a BA in Information Systems and Business Administration from Missouri Baptist University.
Dave Coie is co-founder and Chief Information Officer of ChemVM. Prior to starting ChemVM, he co-founded Radian’s Total Chemical Management business in 1997, and developed tcmIS from concept into the world-leading software platform for chemical management services. Dave served as Vice President of Data Systems for Haas Group International, from its acquisition of TCM in 2002 through its sale to Wesco Aircraft in 2014. Dave has advised industry leaders Univar and Boeing Global Services on their e-commerce and chemical supply chain information systems. He holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and an MS in electrical engineering from Brown University.
As Chief Marketing Officer, Rebecca stewarded development of the ChemVM brand and go-to-market strategy and leads all aspects of marketing from demand generation to stakeholder communications. Rebecca has worked in highly technical engineering-driven markets since the early 90’s in both in-house and agency roles. During her time as agency CEO, she was named by The Wall Street Journal editors among the Ten Most Innovative Entrepreneurs in America. She is the author of Smart Marketing for Engineers and a forthcoming peer-reviewed content marketing textbook (2022). Rebecca graduated magna cum laude from Boston College and studied at Université de Grenoble in France. She is a regular speaker and university guest lecturer.

Erik Viens is an advisor and founding member of the ChemVM Board. He has over 30 years’ experience applying technology to streamline and integrate operations to better serve customers. He has focused on providing data & insight into how businesses serve the chemical industry and create value. Throughout his career, Erik has achieved success with digital transformation and constantly finds new ways to advance his firm’s competitiveness and profitably. He is recognized as an innovator has been appointed to serve on many advisory boards. Erik received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from University of Rhode Island. He served as CIO of Univar ($10B), Global CIO for INVISTA ($10B, Koch Industries) and over 20 years with DuPont in the US, Europe and Asia.
