The B2B buying journey has been transforming for years now with different industries seeing adoption at varying paces. The chemical space is in the midst of this change, leaving business and sales leaders scrambling to adjust their sales tactics to stay competitive and relevant to their buyers. With customers self-learning (ie, doing their own research) and contacting sales people much later in their purchase process, sales and marketing teams have had to shift their investments in part from traditional outbound marketing (ie, advertising, trade shows, etc) to inbound marketing (ie, online content and website marketing).
